Holmfirth-based private dental practice Dentistry @ Holme is expanding into the Colne Valley with a new clinic in Slaithwaite. The project follows a £350,000 investment in a modern, 2,300-square-foot facility at The Wharfeside, set to open this winter.
Founded in 2021 by dentist Dr. Daniel Jenkinson and co-director Sam Jenkinson-Cooke, the practice aims to nearly triple its space compared to its original Holmfirth location. The new clinic will occupy two floors, providing room to grow over the coming years.
Dr. Jenkinson explained, “Demand for private dental services at our Holmfirth site is growing rapidly, and we are nearing capacity. The new Slaithwaite practice will help us serve both existing and new patients more comfortably and promptly.”
Co-founder Sam Jenkinson-Cooke said the team had been considering a second location for some time. “We’re thrilled to have found the perfect site at The Wharfeside. Our goal is to create the most beautiful practice in Yorkshire, offering patients exceptional care in a truly luxurious environment.”
To achieve this vision, they are collaborating with KTM Design, an award-winning dental interior design specialist, to renovate the building.
The Slaithwaite clinic will provide general dentistry alongside family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. It will also offer access to specialists in periodontics and endodontics.
Dr. Jenkinson emphasized the practice’s focus on advanced technology. “Each dental chair costs about £25,000, and we will have several. We’re also investing in digital scanners and a CBCT machine, which provides detailed 3D dental images.”
He added plans to introduce sedation for certain treatments. “The new space allows us to install the necessary equipment to safely offer sedation where appropriate.”
Dr. Jenkinson brings over 20 years of dental experience. He spent the first decade of his career providing NHS care across Huddersfield. Before founding Dentistry @ Holme, he owned and sold a successful dental practice near Leeds.
