A new pediatric dental clinic is set to open in Otsego as part of an expanding development project near Highway 101.
Plans have been approved for the construction of a 3,495-square-foot, single-story building named Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry. The clinic will be located at the northeast corner of Highway 101 and 90th Street. Development plans also include space for a future 3,000-square-foot expansion.
The site is part of a multi-phase development. The first phase included Kennedy Vision and Lil’ Gym. The dental office marks the beginning of Phase 2.
“We’re excited to continue the development there and get something going,” said Steve Fischer of Arrow Companies at the Otsego City Council meeting on June 9. He also noted that planning is underway for a potential third phase, which will be presented to the city at a later date.
Fischer said construction on the dental building is expected to begin in July, with completion targeted for late fall. The pediatric dentist behind the project currently practices in the St. Cloud area and will both own and operate the new clinic.
The Otsego City Council unanimously approved several steps needed for the project to move forward. These included a final plat and the development stage plan for a Planned Unit Development (PUD).
