CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. — Officials from federal, state, and local levels came together Tuesday to mark the expansion of the Molar Express mobile dental clinic into the Blackstone Valley area.
The Molar Express is a traveling dental clinic that offers free dental care to children living in underserved communities.
In 2024, Delta Dental reported that the program treated nearly 1,500 children across Rhode Island.
With this expansion, Delta Dental expects to reach hundreds more children who need dental services.
The mobile clinic will visit schools, Head Start programs, and other community organizations throughout Rhode Island to provide care.
This new initiative is a partnership between Blackstone Valley Community Health Care and Delta Dental.
