ANAHEIM, Calif. — Entrepreneurs aiming to improve oral health will have a chance to showcase their ideas at the upcoming Great Oral Health Pitch event, set to take place on May 17 during the California Dental Association (CDA) meeting in Anaheim.
The event is part of a national program created by the Shils Entrepreneurial Fund, titled The Great Oral Health Pitch: Innovate, Elevate, and Generate Your Idea to Advance Oral Health!. The goal is to help innovators turn their concepts into viable business strategies through live, “Shark Tank”-style competitions held at major dental conferences.
Participants compete for a grand prize sponsorship package worth more than $50,000. The prize includes cash, dental products and services, business development support, marketing assistance, and opportunities to connect with leaders in the oral health industry.
The live pitch series is held at three major dental meetings across the country:
- Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM)
- Chicago Midwinter Meeting
- California Dental Association Meeting (CDA)
Each event features a panel of industry experts who offer direct feedback to participants. This helps entrepreneurs improve their pitches and strengthen their business plans.
At every event, one top winner receives a $2,500 cash prize. Two additional participants are named as runners-up. All three finalists from each event will move on to a final round, where they will compete for the overall Grand Prize package.
The Shils Entrepreneurial Fund hopes the program will inspire and empower individuals with innovative ideas to make a real difference in the field of oral health. It’s a chance for entrepreneurs to compete, connect, and take their ideas to the next level.
